Terms of Sale

These terms apply when you buy a product from Start Here, which is operated by Casey Li ("I", "me"). By buying, you agree to them. Please also read the Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

What you're buying

Products are digital downloads, such as ebooks. After you pay, you get a download link on screen and by email. For security, each link works for a limited number of downloads and a limited time, as shown in the email. Download your copy and save it soon after you buy. If your link stops working, email me and I'll help.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown on the site and at checkout. Payment is handled by Stripe through its Link service, which acts as the reseller (merchant of record) for your order: it charges your payment method, adds any sales tax and sends your receipt. Your card statement will show LINK.COM. Link's own terms also apply to the payment. I may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order you've already paid for.

Your licence

When you buy a product, I give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download it and use it yourself, including in your own business. One purchase is for one person. I keep the copyright and all other rights in the products.

You may not:

• share, resell, give away or lend the file or its contents, or post them publicly;
• copy substantial parts of a product, except for your own use;
• remove copyright or other notices;
• use a product to train or fine-tune an AI model, or upload it to a service that does.

Quoting a short passage with credit, for example in a review, is fine. If you break these terms, your licence ends and I may disable your download link.

Information, not advice

My products share my experience and general information. They are not legal, financial, tax, security or other professional advice, and they don't promise any particular result. AI tools and the other services they mention change quickly, are run by other companies under their own terms, and may work differently by the time you use them. You are responsible for how you use the information and those tools, including checking what they produce, and for following the laws and rules that apply to you and your business.

Disputed payments

If you dispute a payment with your bank or card company (a chargeback), I may suspend your download link while the dispute is open. Please email me first: most problems are quick to fix.

No warranties

The products and the site are provided "as is". As far as the law allows, I make no promises, express or implied, that they are accurate, complete, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business, arising from the products or the site. My total liability for any claim about a product is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of Ontario, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.

Changes

I may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you buy applies to that purchase.
